Own The Projects, Lcv Tells The Community
The chairman LCV Kiryandongo Charles Ntairehoki Amooti has called upon the people of Kamusenene village in Kiryandongo Sub County to own the projects established in their community by government. This was during the commissioning of a 33 million shillings deep borehole at Kamusenene on Wednesday September 4, 2019.
Ntairehoki also asked the community through the water source committee to contribute some money for maintenance of the borehole.
Peter Debele the RDC Kiryandongo told the community that the government of Uganda is committed to providing services to the citizens irrespective of where they are within the boundaries of the nation. He added that services are demand driven and upon delivery the communities should own them.
The residents thanked the district authorities for having prioritized a deep borehole at Kamusenene which they said has saved them from walking long distances and lining up for many hours to fetch water at the neighboring borehole which is about seven kilometers away as well as drinking water from the dams meant for animals which had increased cases of typhoid.
The borehole will serve a community of about 400 homesteads scattered with in the ranches.
