The sites were handed over to Summit Projects Limited a company which was contracted at a sum of 13.7 billion shillings.

He added that the piped water system will help in improving the District’s safe water coverage from the current 76% and also improve the household incomes by reducing expenses on waterborne diseases.
Gwokto also called upon the contractor to deliver the project timely without compromising quality.
Edith Aliguma Adyeri the District chairman decried the unstable water supply by National Water and Sewerage Corporation which has made people to resort to contaminated water sources like shadoofs in Bweyale town council.
Aliguma called upon the contractor to ensure that all public institutions such as schools and health facilities along the water lines are connected and supplied.
