While addressing the chairpersons of local councils one and two during the ceremony, Charles Ntairehoki Amooti the district chairman asked the sub county chiefs and town clerks to check and verify the stamps to find out if the names of villages were correct before issuing them to the chairpersons.
Ntairehoki also cautioned the chairpersons against withholding the stamps after losing an election since they have been procured by government unlike previously by individuals. “Those who lose elections will have to handover the office including the stamps since they have been procured by the government.” Ntairehoki told the chairpersons.
