Kitwara Seed School Takes Shape

The construction of the 2.3 billion Kitwara seed school in Kiryandongo district has taken shape.

According to the supervising engineer Samuel Muhumuza who is also the acting district engineer Kiryandongo, the construction works of Kitwara seed school are at 70% and the contractor is expected to complete the works by December 12,2020.

On completion, the school which had only two units of papyrus class rooms will receive twenty facilities which will include staff quarters, administration block, class room blocks, multipurpose hall, CT and library, science block and lined pit latrines.

With the face-lifting of the school with modern facilities, enrollment of the only government secondary school in Kiryandongo sub county is expected to rise from the current 133 students to a higher number.

While addressing the stakeholders who attended the site meeting at Kitwara seed school, Charles Ntairehoki Amooti the district chairman asked the leadership at various levels especially village and sub county to mobilize the students in preparation for school reopening for term one 2021.
