Valley through Asili farms have donated personal protective equipment for health workers in Kiryandongo district. The assortment of PPEs donated include 200 N95 masks,1350 disposable surgical masks and 88 disposable gowns. These PPEs will help to protect the frontline health workers while combating the Ebola Virus disease and other epidemics.

According to Emmanuel Onyango the Asili farms Corporate affairs manager, the donation is a drive towards the fight against the Ebola epidemic which was reported in Mubende and the neighboring district Kassanda in September 2022. While handing over the PPEs, Onyango noted that Kiryandongo General Hospital is very critical for Asili farms because it is the first area of medical intervention along the Kampala-Gulu highway.

Following a concern raised by Denis Dacan the Principal Assistant CAO Kiryandongo about the need for continuous collaboration and coordination between the district and Asili farms, Onyango pledged to provide agricultural technical support to small holder farmers as well as working closely with the district local government so as to improve production and service delivery.

Asili farms partners with Agilis - a food and agriculture enterprise that exists to empower Ugandans to feed Africa.
